The primary purpose of a sheet hydrogel dressing is to provide a moist wound environment. Sheet hydrogels are comprised of cross-linked polymers, and usually have high water content. The dressings provide some absorption of wound exudate, and provide a cool, soothing effect on wounds. These dressings are generally indicated for low exudating wounds.
